The Arezzo Antiques Fair
The Arezzo Antiques Fair
One of the most prestigious antiques fairs in Italy
Origins and history
The famous Arezzo Antiques Fair is one of the most prestigious and long-running antiques fairs in Italy. Founded in
1968 by the passionate antiques dealer Ivan Bruschi, this event has now surpassed fifty years of history, continually renewing itself while maintaining the charm that has made it famous throughout the world.
When it takes place
The event is traditionally held on the first Sunday of every month, with an early opening on the previous Saturday, allowing visitors to enjoy a weekend dedicated to art, culture and the search for unique pieces.
The setting is the enchanting Piazza Grande (also known as Piazza Vasari) and the evocative streets of the historic center of Arezzo, where the dense succession of exhibition stands winds among medieval buildings and architectural glimpses of great value.
The only exception is the September edition, which moves to the Prato, a large green space located in the heart of the city: the choice is dictated by its contemporaneity with another important city event, the Giostra del Saracino, which attracts thousands of tourists and helps create a unique festive atmosphere.
What to find at the fair
Every month, nearly 400 exhibitors from every region of Italy fill the streets of Arezzo with their stalls brimming with objects from every era and origin. Among the stalls, you can find real gems for enthusiasts:
- Antique furniture
- Works of art
- Jewels and bijoux
- Vintage watches
- Rare books and antique prints
- Scientific and musical instruments
- Vintage toys
- Vintage linen
- More varied collecting
Innovations and new trends
Over the years, thanks to an internal reform aimed at making the fair more dynamic and attractive to an ever-wider audience, new product categories have been introduced. Alongside antiques, today there is also space for modern antiques, vintage items, and quality craftsmanship, which enrich the offering and attract even less experienced visitors curious to discover beautiful handmade or designer items.
A unique experience
The Arezzo Antiques Fair is therefore much more than a simple trade exhibition: it is a true journey through time, a sensorial and cultural experience that fascinates collectors, antique dealers, designers and simple enthusiasts.
Every visit is an opportunity for trouvaille, that pleasant ritual of searching that can reserve unexpected surprises and hidden treasures.
An international success
Appreciated also by the international public, the Fair has managed to renew itself without betraying its identity, presenting itself today as a modern, lively and inclusive event, while remaining faithful to the roots that saw it born.
A perfect blend of past and present, tradition and innovation, making Arezzo a key hub for the Italian antiques market.
